Aquatic Invertebrates (Pond dipping)

Use a variety of trapping techniques to study Wicken Fen's invertebrates.
Investigate habitats, adaptation, life cycles and food chains.

Fen Flora

Plant community studies using quadrats and discussing other sampling techniques on areas with two different soil types.

Autumn/Winter terms
A visit to your school by a Learning Officer can be arranged to run an owl pellet
dissection activity to link with KS 2 science - life processes, and will cover food chains and skeletons.
