Canoeing adventures at Wicken Fen Visitors to Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, near Ely, will be able to explore the great outdoors on family canoe trips this summer. The National Trust have teamed up with Cambridge based Slipstream Canoe Guides to offer canoe adventures at Wicken Fen from Thursday 4 August. The adventure starts with a cycle ride from Wicken Fen to launch point on Burwell Lode for a 1 hour canoe lesson in an open canoe with Slipstream Canoe Guides, who are all qualified British Canoe Union coaches. The Wicken Fen Canoe Adventures will run on Thursday 4 & Saturday / Sunday 20-21 & 27-28 August at 10am, 12 noon & 2pm. The Adventures cost £18 per canoe; which can seat two adults and two small children.
