Enjoy an Egg-Tastic Family Easter at Wicken Fen An egg-tastic Easter is promised at Wicken Fen with a host of events and activities to keep the whole family amused over the Easter holidays. The Great Wicken Fen Easter Egg Trail runs from Good Friday through to Easter Monday. All participants in the Easter Egg Trail will receive an Easter egg kindly sponsored by Cadbury's. There will also be free face painting on Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday. The reserve offers a variety of walks and self guided trails designed to cater for all ages and ranges of mobility. Popular trails and walks include:- The Boardwalk Trail - A¾ mile circular path through the ancient undrained Sedge Fen, a unique remnant of the fen landscape which once covered much of East Anglia. The raised boardwalk is ideal for visitors using wheelchairs or pushchairs. The Nature Trail - A 2¼ mile in-depth look at the ancient Sedge Fen, a unique wilderness rich in wildlife. The Adventurer's Trail - A 2¾ mile exploration of Adventurers' Fen, a chance to view Wicken Fen's amazing birdlife from hides overlooking reedbed, marsh and mere.
