Press Release Fantastic Fen Flora Visitors to Wicken Fen National Nature Reserve can gain an insight into the unique flora of Wicken Fen on a guided walk led by renowned wetland plant expert, Pete Stroh. Visitors on the guided walk will have the opportunity to see the rare Marsh Pea, Marsh Orchids, the sting less Fen Nettle and Wicken Fen's only carnivorous plant, the Greater Bladderwort, each one eating up to a quarter of a million invertebrates annually. The walk will depart the Wicken Fen Visitor Centre at 1400 on Sunday 13 July, and costs £6 for adults and £3 for children. Early booking is advisable as places are limited, call Wicken Fen on 01353 720274. Nearly 900 plant species make their home at Wicken Fen, a unique remnant of undrained ancient Fen, one Europe's most important wetland sites.
