Traditional Fun and Games at Wicken Fen Hopscotch, marbles, jacks, spinning tops, shove ha'penny are just some of the traditional games that children will be able to play at Wicken Fen this coming half term. Staff and volunteers at Wicken Fen are encouraging children to switch of their video games and come and enjoy some of the traditional playground games their parents and grandparents would have enjoyed at school. Drop-in games sessions are being held in the garden of historic Fen Cottage on Wednesday 1 and Friday 3 June from 11am-4pm. Children and parents alike can also discover the creatures of Wicken's watery world on Pond Dipping for All (£1.50) with optional Minibeast Hunt (75p) on Tuesday 31 May and Thursday 2 June, timed sessions from 10.30am.
