Try the Wicken Fen Geocaching Challenge Staff and volunteers at Wicken Fen Nature Reserve, near Ely, are organising a Geocaching Challenge on Saturday 24 September, to introduce visitors to the modern day high-tec version of treasure hunting. Geocaching is a popular worldwide game dedicated to GPS (Global Positioning System) users which involves searching for secret caches which have been hidden in the countryside. Visitors will be given instruction on to use a GPS receiver so they can search for the caches which will be hidden on Wicken's Sedge Fen for one day only. The Geocaching Challenge will include activities for all the family and the opportunity to win prizes. Staggered starting slots are available between 10am -2.30pm. Visitors are advised to pre-book a slot by calling the Wicken Fen Visitor Centre on 01353 720274. Normal admission applies.
