Nordic Walking at Wicken Fen

Nordic walking one of the fastest growing fitness activities in the world is set to be a regular feature on the outdoor activities programme at Wicken Fen.

Local instructor, Oliver Gynn will be leading one hour guided Nordic walks at Wicken Fen on alternate Thursdays from 28 April. The walks cost £5 which includes equipment hire and instruction.

The technique uses lightweight poles to enhance your normal walking action and can easily be learnt even by complete beginners. Nordic walking provides at total body workout using around 90% of the body's muscles and burning approximately 400-600 calories an hour, around 46% more than normal walking.

To book a walk contact Oliver Gynn on 07767 324365 or e-mail info@nordicwalking.co.uk
