Wild at Wicken Fen
Schools out - so why not enjoy the long
hot carefree days of summer by going Wild at Wicken Fen.
Throughout the summer Wicken Fen is
running a programme of fun activities all designed to encourage children
to explore and enjoy the great outdoors and learn about nature.
Forthcoming activities include:
Wildlife Detectives - Monday 2
August 10.30 & 14.00
Search for clues to discover some of the amazing species large and small
that live at Wicken Fen. Make plaster casts of animal tracks that you
discover out on the fen.
Den Building Day - Wednesday 4
August Drop in from 11.00 - 15.30
Collect natural materials to build your very own secret hideaway on the
fen.
Fen Pirate Day - Friday 6 August
Drop in from 11.00 - 15.30
Come in fancy dress for a day of pirate fun on the fen. Build and sail
your own pirate boat, make a telescope and parrot for your shoulder, pond
dip for sea monsters and hunt for hidden treasure.
All events cost £4.50 per child, tickets
