What joy to find the first hints of colour after our long hard winter. A brimstone butterfly flits across your path, its sulphur yellow brilliant in the spring sunshine. A clump of marsh marigold hints at the season to come, the promise of returning warblers, the bursting forth of catkins and pussy willow. When will you hear the first cuckoo of the year?

From our well marked paths and hides you may see our resident herds of Highland Cattle and Konik Ponies as they slowly graze this open landscape.

Finally drop in to our Visitor centre and café for a welcome bowl of delicious soup, hot drink and a not-to-be-missed slice of our homemade cake!
